“Livin’ on a Prayer,” as they say

February 16, 2012

Jon Bon Jovi

The other day when I was walking, I saw a girl walking her bike with a basket on the front, to which she’d tied Tibetan prayer flags.

As we waited at the crosswalk, I said, “Your flags are cute.”

“Yeah, you know they say when the wind blows through them it spreads the prayers,” she said, “so I thought it would be good protection while riding.”

It was then that I noticed she wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Car-freely,
Amy

Classic for places like Boulder and Portland. I thought Denverites were more practical.
