Sharing bikes, wearing Speedos

Rio de Janeiro bike share

Rio de Janeiro’s bike share must be popular!

I used to live in a co-op in Boulder called Masala. In my two years in the 12-resident co-op, I had some lovely roommates, met some cool people, and made some fairly amazing friends. Among them is Reba (a.k.a. Reblicon 5000).

Reba is an artist, a writer, a costume-designer, a belly dancer, a library troll, a meditation student, and a world traveler.

You don’t even need pants to ride these bikes!

Recently, Reba went to Brazil, where she toured, meditated, blogged, and took some great photos, including these for me of Rio de Janeiro’s 600-cycle-strong bike share program.

Here’s some info on “Bike Rio” from SmartPlanet.

Thanks for the photos, Reb 5K!

Car-freely,
Amy
